This comic began in... early March, I think it was, (or was it late February?) of 2004. Its original home was in my now expired domain, fire-heart.net. Anyways, the screentones I used are from these three sites, which have very nice collections of them. The current font for the speech is from Blambot called "Mighty Zeo 2.0" and the old one is called "Letter-O-Matic". Other fonts I use include one called "Hamlake" from a place that I no longer know, "Catholic School Girls" and "12 Ton Goldfish" from Blambot once again, and various free Windows fonts. There are also some that are no longer on my computer and I no longer know the name of. LD is also hosted by Drunkduck, which is an excellent and free place to keep a webcomic.

      Since the beginning, the world has been in chaos. War, famine, homelessness, anger, greed... This was due to the fact that when the Goddess was creating this world called Earth, essence was lost. [ essence (n): disintegrated pieces of a person, place, thing, or idea. ] Her and her apprentice searched for the lost pieces, but they could not be found. Thus the world was left incomplete, resulting in what we now have.
      However, once in a while, there are some people that are born that can collect these pieces. But these people are very rare, and even when there is one born, they cannot be found unless a special pendant is near them and reacts, turning from grey to white (used to be grey-blue to a deep sapphire but I forgot to tone it that way xD).
      Artemis is one of these people. This is her story.
