I hope David Day got some R and R in when he was traveling around the desert playing "SPy Hunter"!

Speaking of traveling around the desert, Wizard World LA is coming up fast, March 16-18. I just realized I have a bunch of stuff to do before hand, including getting way ahead on the strip. Nose the the grindstone time!

Ah, the trouble with Psychokinesis. Messr. David Day should have thought ahead to make up an alternate name that he uses more often than his real name. I'm always thinking of myself as Joreal, though for different reasons.

And to go the extra step, maybe invent an alter-ego persona. No, I'm not talking about HBN, I'm talking a brand new person that has their own line of thinking living in his head. Think of it like Bill Murray in "The Man Who Knew Too Little"; Boris didn't buy that he was telling the truth about him being Wallace Ritchie, a Blockbuster Checkout person in Des Moines, Iowa. Put that in as what "Brainstorm" gets from HBN, and even if he doesn't believe it, it's all he's really going to get.

Of course, I'm going with the assumption that all he can read are surface thoughts and not able to go that deep without either a lot of time or damage to the readee's psyche. Going with the obvious that HBN wouldn't be thinking of his real name in front of someone he knows to be able ot read his mind, that's not going to completely rule out alter-egos, but it would force them to truly believe that they are those people in addition to who they really are.

Ouch. Yes, the First Five secrets are probably out now.

In the first pic, looks like thta young lady is about to dive into the pool with her hair still in a bun. Bad idea!

On snap! He Knows HBN"s secret idenity! This could be trouble. Then again he's rarley out of costume and has no personal life. So this may not matter that much.

I'd have tried to shoot him, too. Just because some nutjob in a costume THINKS he's bulletproof, doesn't mean he is.

Hey, General? Is it really a good idea to send a guy with all the dirt on the First Five, er, Four.... against a guy who reads minds and sells secrets? It's about to suck bigtime for Freedom Fighter, isn't it?

Afterthought: if he could REALLY read minds, why'd he bother shooting his gun?

Yeah, but that doesn't mean he's the real deal. His real name could have been extracted elsewhere.

Fun peice of story here. Good Page.
