I don't often get a chance to say it here, being so busy, but thanks for reading and supporting Hero By Night everyone. It's maybe the most fun I've had making comics.

We're moving into some important info soon about David Day, the ring, his abilities and more. It might not seem like it all the time, but everything is carefully plotted and crafted out to come together and pay off later on in this series, and then lead right into the book series, and hopefully beyond that. I have some BIG plans for HBN if I'm fortunate enough to keep on doing this. So I want to say thanks again for making it possible!

Huh. So, he has an old friend that's really smart. And HBN trusts him completely. Do I smell a surprise for our hero?

Whoa, is that Pittsburgh's cathedral? If not, cool, and if so, cooler.

The faded professor sketch looks kind of ominous. Maybe he's just concentrating. BTW these details make this whole diary inspired.

I have these moments during the day like, "Oh shucks, did I check in with HBN today? Even if I did I'll go read it again."
Good stuff, shout out when a T-shirt is ready.

I think that the best part is that you manage to put in an original window perspective by showing it trough an old journal.
gives you more freedom to explain stuff on the contrary of that old days where the heroes actually had to say it all by themselves

As has been said before, very Eisner-like in feeling and tone. Great illustration and noir atmosphere. The diary format is a nice break from the usual style as well.

Great stuff. This is beyond a regular comic. This is art.

Hot building, too. This reminds me of Eisner's Spirit in tone and content. This is a very well-done enterprise, thoughtful and nicely written.
Props to y'all.

What's great about this D.J. is how you've managed to riff off of all the classic aspects of comics-- masked crusader, power ring, gadget and, now, the classic uber-brain character --yet present it all in a fresh, easily digestable format. This kind of thing is always gonna get new readers because they can jump in at ANY time and enjoy it. And for those of us who've been on board since the beginning, it's even better.

Big, sweaty props, my man.

Can't wait see what's in store. Whatever it is, I'm ready. Got my codpiece on right now!
