I'm a new member. This is the 1st comic i check out. some how i get the feeling i've stumbled into something special.I agree about the alien captions ufff!@#$%%%^The caption less pages work well,a lesson i will apply.
I liked everything but the alien language. I have neither time, patience, or enough interest in what the aliens were saying to translate. I really thank the DD'ers who took the time to translate for the rest of us. Myself, I would have just skipped the pages.
I hope there will be more. I wish the movie was in the can.
You are rated a bit low only because of the alien language.
"Howdy! Howdy! Howdy!"
Anyone else hear that frilled lizard from Rescuers Down Under everytime the word was said?
Perhaps it was just me. In any case, I applaud your creativity here--the comic was a fun read, and unlike other comics, I actually took pauses every 10 pages or so to simply let the story work in.
I hop onto the bandwagon with the other folks holding signs saying, "A sequel would be awesome!"
Very cool! As a matter of personal taste I thought the early sequences with nothing but "Alien-speak" were a mistake. Okay for a panel or two but, when there are several pages together, it's just too tempting to skip over those pages and get on with the story. Other than that, I enjoyed this a lot. It's like a roller-coaster ride through every B-movie you've ever seen. Good fun!
I don't think the aliens are happy about what happened on Earth. I guess, they're going to come with more troops.
I've read throughout the archive so far and here's my thought:
Artwise... it's amazing! The style is typical American but in a nice way! This is a very refreshing style and I love it. The textures, the characters, the effects, and the background looks fantastic.
Storywise... which I car more... it's very fun to read. There are so many senses from comedy to action, drama to suspence. It is been done well. However, there are some cliches like the heroes would kick the aliens ass in the end but still, this is not the end, so, we still have lots of twists going on.
Good luck and keep it on! I'll be checking on your comic every now and then!
I just got this comic for free at MegaCon! But I didn't realize I got it because I didn't look in my freebie bag until I got home. I saw another con-goer reading it and I thought "Cowboys and Aliens? That sounds AWESOME. I want to find it and buy it." So I spent one and a half days at the con looking for it and didn't find it, haha! I really wanted to buy it. Then I finally looked in my bag and realized I already had it. And then I laughed and laughed and laughed.
